The changes of Impulse discharges of Muscular group Ia Afferents in induced by the changes of bradykinin concentration

Abstract
In anesthetized cats the effects of the changes of bradykinin concentration upon the changes of impulse discharges of muscular group Ia were studied. The afferent activity was extra cellular recorded from single fiber of the distal stump of dorsal root.
l. Bradykinin, affected the muscle spindle, changed the frequency of the impulse discharges of the muscular group Ia afferents and its change is in proportional to injected amount of bradykinin.
2. The impulse discharges of muscular group Ia afferents induced by bradykinin was similar to the impulse discharges of muscular group III and group IV afferents by bradykinin.
3. Muscle spindle of Gastrocnemius-Soleus muscle could be divided into two groups, which responded to bradykinin in forms of only excitation and inhibition followed by excitation.
4. It was suggested that muscle spindle is a polymodal receptor due to not only mechanical stimuli but also chemical stimuli.
